Shameer Sam is the Executive Director of Health Information & Communication Technology (HICT) at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), bringing over 25 years of experience in IT leadership, with 15 years at the executive level. He has spearheaded major national healthcare IT transformations, including delivering Qatar’s National Clinical Information System across 12 hospitals and 23 primary care centers, and commissioning IT functions for eight new hospitals. Shameer oversees multi-million-dollar digital health programs, serves as Co-Chair of Qatar’s National eHealth Technology Committee, and is recognized for aligning IT strategy with national healthcare goals.
